Job Well Done

After well over 6years of Fundraising the ‘Snap’ Hydrotherapy Pool was handed over to the pupils of St Nicholas School at a small ceremony last Friday afternoon 24th June at the School. Officers from both RIBI and District 1200 also attended. During the evening of the same day 150 people representing all sorts of groups who had supported the fundraising were given the opportunity to view the Pool. The project was unanimously taken on by members of the Rotary Club of Chippenham to celebrate 100years of Rotary International. Amanda Parr (BBC) our lovely Patron played a huge part in bringing the project into the public domain. Her presentation skills gave a boost at the start of the fundraising and she continued to attend many events sometimes for the entire day. A small team of Rotarians, staff from the School and ‘Friends of Rotary’ formed a Fundraising Committee and met monthly 69 times. The activities they arranged were nothing short of amazing so raising the ‘Snap’ profile around the Chippenham area. A plaque was presented by the School to all the Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Chippenham in the recognition of their huge achievement and will be affixed to the pool for all who use it to see. Chippenham Rotarians are very proud that we have just handed over a MILLION pound asset to the Children of St Nicholas School
